Yesterday was a interesting day for everyone who caught what happened over in the Capitol.
The man that the United States elected to be their new President was sworn in! He goes by the name of President Barack Obama now though. It was such a big deal, Facebook was hit with a record number of hits, cells phone service went out around Washington D.C. and websites crashed due to the absurd amount of viewers.
What a better way to present you with the history that happened yesterday with some images courtesy of Boston.com. Check their site for more pictures of the day. (click for a larger image)
This is something to remember for the future. After everything the United States has been through, this presents a lot unity in this country that once wasn’t there. I have plenty of friends though who are conservative, liberal, undecided, who will all have their very own opinion about yesterday.
All we can do is hope that the decision we made was the right one. I mean, it can’t really do much worse than the previous guy, can he?
